What happens when you authorize

Select your server

Discord asks which server to add the bot to. Pick your empire's server from the dropdown.

Review permissions

You'll see the permissions listed below. All are required for full functionality.

Authorize

Click "Authorize", complete any CAPTCHA, and the bot joins your server immediately.

The bot never deletes messages, channels, or removes users.

Manage RolesCreates and assigns the "AOEM Historian Leader" role to empire leaders

Manage ChannelsCreates category and channels during /jumpstart setup

Manage NicknamesLets the leader role control command visibility — leaders see leader commands, players don't

Send MessagesPosts activity announcements, MGE posts, and responds to commands

Send Messages in ThreadsResponds to interactions and posts in proof threads

Create Public ThreadsCreates threads for activity proof submissions

Embed LinksDisplays rich embeds for activity announcements and command responses

The bot registers your server automatically and makes the server owner the first leader. Then run these commands:

/empire configConfigure Your Empire

Set your empire number, name, and starting credits. Registers your server in the system.

/jumpstartRun Jumpstart

Auto-creates #activities, #mge, #bot-chat, and #empire-leaders channels, plus roles.

/leader add @userAdd Leaders

Promote R4s and officers to the "AOEM Historian Leader" role with access to leader commands.

/activity configConfigure Activities

Set which activities earn credits and how much each one is worth.

Credit leaderboards, full transaction history, analytics charts, and empire management — accessible from any browser without opening Discord.
