MGE Events
MGE (Mightiest Governor Event) events are the competitive pinnacle of AoEM Historian. These limited-slot events in Age of Empires Mobile are where your accumulated credits really matter.
What Are MGE Events?
In Age of Empires Mobile, MGE events are special competitive events where:
- Only 10 players from your empire can participate
- Participants compete for exclusive rewards
- Events occur biweekly (every two weeks)
With more players wanting slots than available, AoEM Historian provides a fair system for allocation.
How Slot Allocation Works
Tier System
Slots are organized into tiers based on competitiveness:

The Process
- Applications Open - Leaders open applications for an upcoming event
- Players Apply - Use
/applywith your tier preference - Review Period - Leaders review applications
- Approval - Leaders approve/reject applications
- Slot Assignment - Approved players are assigned slots
Applying for Slots
Check Event Status
First, see if applications are open:
/slots
This shows:
- Current event status
- Application deadline
- Current applicants
- Slot assignments (if finalized)
Submit Your Application
When applications are open:
/apply <tier_preference>
Tier Preferences
Choose your tier based on how many credits you want to spend:

This applies you for the tier 5 slot at your empire's configured cost for that tier.
Application Strategy
Know the Costs
Before applying, check your credit balance with /credits and understand your empire's tier costs.
Use /slots to see the current slot costs and who has applied. This shows all tiers and their credit costs. For a full breakdown of how costs are calculated, see the Credit System Design.
Choose Your Tier Wisely
Consider:
- Your credit balance - Can you afford your preferred tier?
- Competition - How many others are applying?
- Your goals - Do you need a specific slot, or any slot?
When to Apply High
Apply for lower-numbered tiers (1-3) when:
- You have many credits saved
- The event is particularly important to you
- You want maximum priority
When to Apply Low
Apply for higher-numbered tiers (8-10) when:
- You're building credits for future events
- You'd be happy with any slot
- Competition is light
After Applying
Check Your Status
Use /slots to see:
- Your application status
- Other applicants
- Slot assignments (when finalized)
Possible Outcomes

| Rejected | Your application was not accepted |

If your application is rejected:
- Credits are not deducted until event confirmation
- You can apply again if applications reopen
- Ask leaders for feedback

Tips for Success
Don't wait until an event to start earning. Consistent participation builds a strong credit balance.
Know when events are coming. Plan your credit spending around important events.
If you have preferences or constraints, let your leaders know. They want to make fair decisions.
Not everyone can get a slot every time. Support your comrades who do get selected, it also means you'll have more credits for the next MGE.
Common Questions
Can I change my application?
Ask a leader. They may be able to adjust or cancel your application before finalization.
What if I can't participate after getting approved?
Let your leaders know immediately! They can reassign your slot to another player.
Do unused credits carry over?
Yes! Credits you don't spend remain in your account for future events.
How are ties broken?
Leaders make final decisions on ties. Factors may include past participation, attendance, or other contributions.
