Command Reference Overview

This section provides detailed documentation for all AoEM Historian commands.

Command Categories

Commands are organized by who can use them:

Category	Who Can Use	Purpose
Player Commands	All registered players	Day-to-day participation
Leader Commands	Empire leaders	Managing credits and events
Admin Commands	Server administrators	Empire setup

Permission Levels

Player

Any Discord user who has registered with /register can use player commands.

Leader

Leaders are added with /leader add and can use all player + leader commands. Server administrators automatically have leader permissions.

Admin

Discord server administrators (with the "Administrator" permission) can use all commands including admin-only commands like /empire config.

Command Syntax

Commands use Discord's slash command format:

/command <required_parameter> [optional_parameter]

• <required> - Must be provided
• [optional] - Can be omitted
• @Player - Mention a Discord user
• <name> - Text input

Using Autocomplete

Many commands support autocomplete:

• Start typing a parameter value
• Discord shows matching suggestions
• Select from the list or continue typing

Autocomplete is available for:

• Activity names
• Player names
• Other dynamic values

Getting Help

If a command isn't working:

1. Check you have the right permissions
2. Verify all required parameters are provided
3. Look for error messages in the bot's response
