Who Is a Leader?
Leaders are empire officers with elevated permissions in the bot. They can:
- Configure activity settings
- Award bonus credits
- Nullify mistaken claims
- Manage MGE applications
- Add/remove other leaders
- Manage non-Discord player accounts (if needed)
Leader vs Admin
| Role | Who | Permissions |
|---|---|---|
| Admin | Discord server administrators | Can run /empire config |
| Leader | Added via /leader add | Can run all leader commands |
| Player | Any registered user | Can run player commands only |

Server admins automatically have leader permissions for running leader commands.
Leader Responsibilities
Day-to-Day
- Monitor activity claims
- Answer player questions about the system
- Handle disputes or mistakes
- Award bonus credits when appropriate
For MGE
- Open applications when MGE approaches
- Review and approve applications
- Handle slot assignment
- Communicate results to the empire
System Maintenance
- Keep activity configurations current
- Manage the leader roster
- Monitor empire status and engagement
Leader Command Overview
